EU Commission supports postponing the launch of the EUDR by one year
On 02 October 2024, the EU Commission proposed postponing the start of application of the EUDR (European Deforestation Regulation) by one year to 30 December 2025. Such a postponement had recently been called for by EPAL and many other associations and companies.

The EPAL Board met for its third meeting in 2024 in Brussels on 24/25 September 2024. Part of the board meeting was a workshop on the development of EPAL's strategy for the next years.

One million EPAL QR Euro pallets produced since the market launch in January 2024
At the beginning of September, the millionth EPAL QR Euro pallet was produced and delivered. This means that the target for 2024 of producing and delivering one million EPAL Euro pallets with QR codes has already been achieved around 8 months after the market launch in January 2024.

EPAL supports the call to postpone the launch of the EUDR
The new "EU Regulation for Deforestation-Free Products" (EUDR) was already adopted on 31.05.2023 and came into force on 29.06.2023.

EPAL Board Meeting and General Assembly on 28/29 June 2024 in Rome
On 29 June 2024, EPAL's annual General Assembly took place in Rome. The day before, 28 June 2024, the EPAL Board had already made important decisions and planned EPAL's activities in the second half of 2024.
